A nurse who allegedly took secret semi-naked photos of staff and patients at a private hospital has been charged. Cleaners initially discovered covert cameras hidden in the female change room earlier this year. Devices were wedged between the lockers and toilet walls and a police investigation launched. One staff member said they worried patients had been filmed in their beds as they recovered from surgery. Dr David Vivian, the hospital's medical director, said Farrow was 'immediately dismissed'. Farrow had been working at the hospital for around two years and had not been disciplined at any time during this period, 9News reported. A staff memorandum was also circulated in March with updates of the police probe.

By Joshua Rhett Miller. May 7, am Updated May 7, am. Ashley Ann Smith, 30, of Dravosburg, is facing 30 counts — including invasion of privacy and abuse of care — in connection with photographs she took while working as a licensed practical nurse at Kane McKeesport Community Living Center, according to a criminal complaint obtained by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Ron Whittaker, 36, reported Smith to hospital administration April 5 and staffers there immediately contacted police.
The University of Vermont Medical Center fired a licensed nursing assistant LNA last year after it found out he had sexually harassed a former patient, according to a recent order from the Vt. Board of Nursing. The hospital network fired Marc Fleming in May , days after a female patient formerly under his care at the Fanny Allen rehabilitation unit reported him for sending an unsolicited nude photo of himself, public records show. The woman had been staying at the Colchester campus to recover from a double leg amputation, and often Fleming was assigned as her LNA. Before leaving Fanny Allen, the female patient shared her cell phone number with several staff members, including Fleming. A month later, he twice sent the woman a nude photo of himself, board documents show. The patient was reportedly upset and alerted a staff member at the assisted-living facility where she was staying. Fanny Allen fired Fleming five days later.
I work with a lot of female nurses in the operating room. You leave your naughtiness out the door once you enter the operating room. It is not a place for any tiny feeling like that. Patients are covered with sheets and sterile drapes during surgery. You don't see much. You also have to develop a kind of psychological distance from patients during surgery because it is a hard thing to see another human deliberately cut open.
